Top Levenmouth attraction set to re-open with a bang after 11 months of waiting!
If you’re looking for some top entertainment in the school holidays then get 7th October in your diary.
Together Levenmouth Hub on the High Street in Leven boasts a party room, a fun gift shop, 2 crazy golf courses, a beautiful rustic café and 2 escape rooms! A social enterprise, the project was set up to help bring more tourism to the area (as if the long golden beaches weren’t enough!)
Opened in April 2022, the TL Hub quickly became a regular for visitors and locals alike, due to the nature of the fun times to be had and the staff that go above and beyond for its customers. They take pride in their service and it shows, boasting almost all 5-star reviews across Trip Advisor, Google and Facebook! And then disaster struck after only 7 months - there was a huge fire in Leven High Street, causing devastating damage to the building next door.
The TL Hub gives its profits back to the community and had planned for a free Santa’s Grotto for the kids with the help of SGN, not to mention it was already pegged as one of the local Warm Spaces where locals could come and have some free food and a drink over the colder months thanks to the govt funding put in place. Not wanting to let anyone down, the staff rose to the challenge and found alternatives. Sue, the Together Levenmouth Project Manager says “a lot of people were relying on us and we were able to work with the community to make these projects happen. We ran our grotto from another Brag Enterprises building (our parent charity) and had over 300 kids attend, getting to see Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves and get their free gift. It was amazing to see their faces and so many of the parents were really grateful as it had been a tough year for a lot of us” “The warm space was relocated to a nightclub of all places! Our staff fit in there really well and Ewan the Manager was fantastic in making it all fit for our purposes. We’re still running our Bingo Buddies project out of there on a Wednesday and Thursday but will be moving this back to the Hub after we open. We are so grateful to Euan and the staff at Truth and hope to work with them again in the future. This is what makes communities great!”
Luckily the charity were insured enough to be able to retain their staff throughout their long closure, so as well as the projects like warm spaces and Bingo Buddies and in addition to some serious up-skilling (over 80 courses between them!) they planted 2500 trees, did months of voluntary work at the foodbank, did litter-picks and helped at other local charities. Missing their creative side however got too much in the end and they came up with some really inventive games that could be taken out on the road in the form of a Portable Escape Room. This was also free of charge for the locals and between the schools and community centres, over 1000 people came and tried the escape room with fantastic fun had by all. The schools loved it so much that it’s a project that Together Levenmouth will be looking to make more permanent in the future.
So, what is in store for the grand re-opening? As well as taking advantage of a huge 30% discount on the day for the escape rooms (if there’s any free space left after the pre-bookings!), you’ll be able to play golf for only £2 per person! Facepainting is free but donations are being asked to help local charity Gingerbread get 100 rounds of free golf for their families. You’ll also get chance to win spot prizes of £100 with free spins of the lottery wheel and on the wheel of fortune, there’s a chance you may get a free coffee or an escape room for 6 worth £90! DJs, magicians and loads of other fun stuff is planned so come along and support a great cause whilst having a top day. Allow for lunch too as specials will be on at prices between £2-£5! And don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade as there’s an amazing beach just a few minutes walk away.
You can pre-book if you want to make sure you reserve your escape room or golf with a special discount using code open30. Just go to our website and go through the usual booking procedure and the discount will be added at the end.
Lauren, the Operations Manager at the Hub says “We can’t wait to get open and welcome everyone back into the Hub. If you haven’t been yet, you must come and see it for yourself. It’s worth a visit even just to get your pic taken in the neon room in the back!”
So, if you’re going to do something this October, head down to the Hub and support a great charity that gives you a great time and then puts your money to good use!
