Scottish Tourism Alliance Business Barometer

Ahead of the Holyrood Election Hustings at Scottish Tourism Alliance’s (STA) Annual Signature Conference on 10^th March 2026, tourism and hospitality businesses are asked to take some time to complete the latest survey to capture an accurate picture of the economic and policy environment that businesses are currently operating in, and your views on how the next Scottish Government can better support our valuable sector.  

This is an opportunity to have your voice heard by the main political parties in Scotland at a crucial time that they are seeking re-election and vying for the coveted position of forming the next Scottish Government. 

Importantly, your answers will help to inform STA's wider lobbying of all the political parties and prospective MSPs in the run up to the Scottish Elections in May, bringing to life their Holyrood Manifesto Asks and the value of delivering on these.

• There are four sections: About You; Business Performance; Summer Visitor Season Comparator; and The Scottish Elections May 2026.
• The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete.
• STA encourage you to complete the whole survey to give as full a picture as possible.
• The survey is completely anonymous and all of your responses will be treated in confidence. However, there is the option to give your details if you’re happy for comments to be attributed to you in our press and social media activities.

The survey closes at midnight on Sunday 15th February.
