Community Invited to Join “Kirkcaldy Clean Up” as Part of Keep Scotland Beautiful Spring Clean 2026 Campaign
Kirkcaldy, Scotland — Local residents, businesses, schools, and community groups are being urged to roll up their sleeves and take part in the Kirkcaldy Clean Up, a major community litter‑picking event taking place this spring in support of the Keep Scotland Beautiful Spring Clean 2026 national campaign.
Brought to you by Love Oor lang Toun and Kirkcaldy West Community Council and graciously funded by the Kirkcaldy Lottery.

The event aims to bring together volunteers of all ages to help restore and brighten shared spaces across Kirkcaldy—parks, pathways, beaches, neighbourhoods, and town‑centre areas. Taking place over the next 5 weeks, the initiative is part of Scotland’s largest annual environmental volunteer effort.
We plan to reward all volunteers with a BBQ just to say thanks for

“Kirkcaldy has a strong community spirit, and this spring provides a perfect opportunity for everyone to come together and make a visible, positive impact.
We are aware many groups are doing this sort of thing quietly all year round, this is an opportunity to shine a light on that good work.
Every bag of litter lifted helps protect wildlife, improves our neighbourhoods, and boosts pride in our town.”
The Keep Scotland Beautiful Spring Clean 2026 campaign encourages thousands of people across the country to take part in organised or individual litter-picks, with a focus on reducing pollution, supporting biodiversity, and inspiring long‑term behaviour change. Last year, tens of thousands of volunteers took part across Scotland.
Already the award-winning team of Growing Kirkcaldy have been tackling the prom as well as Michalea, Jordan and Kerry of Middle Den cleaning Scotland’s first Urban MTB Trail. Our wonderful Kirkcaldy Clean Up logo was created by Chloe Alcorn of Kirkcaldy Rugby Club.
