Fife Tourism Businesses Invited to Edinburgh Workforce Development Event

Tourism and hospitality businesses across Fife are being encouraged to take part in a cross‑regional workforce development event taking place later this month in Edinburgh.

‘Building a Proud & Valued Tourism Workforce’ will be held on Tuesday 31 March at The Scotch Whisky Experience, bringing together employers and sector partners to explore practical approaches to recruitment, fair work and skills development.

The event, organised by Skills Development Scotland and the Edinburgh Visitor Economy Partnership, is primarily billed as an Edinburgh & Lothians session. However, businesses from both the Scottish Borders and Fife are warmly welcomed, reflecting the shared priorities set out in the recently submitted Tourism & Hospitality Skills Development proposal, developed as a regional submission for IRES 2027+.

Attendees will learn about workforce trends, hear directly from employers and discuss inclusive approaches to recruitment. Speakers include representatives from:

• The Original Rosslyn Inn
• Edinburgh College
• Edinburgh FUSE

The morning event will be followed by a complimentary tour of The Scotch Whisky Experience.

This session provides an opportunity for Fife businesses to engage with peers, share experiences and contribute to the wider development of a proud and valued tourism workforce across the region.
