Tay Country Tourism Conference 2026
10 March 2026
The Tay Country Tourism conference took place on 3 March 2026, and it was a fantastic event if we are allowed to say so ourselves.
With Alistair hosting and reminding us, there’s nothing better than a "guid blether wi’ your peers", catching up, sharing stories, and sparking new connections across our vibrant, local visitor economy.
Here's just some of the day's highlights... but what was yours?
- Collaboration is key. Visitors don’t see borders, so let’s work together to create reasons for people to come, stay longer, and explore more while they’re here.
- AI thrives on clear, consistent information. Keep your website and social channels up to date, AI often pulls from FAQs and listicles (like “Top 5 reasons to stay at…”), so make sure these tell the story you want shared.
- Pitlochry Festival Theatre is a fantastic theatre perched up in the hills that everyone needs to visit
- Eden Project Scotland is set to bring huge economic benefits to Tayside and the surrounding areas. The original site has already welcomed over 25 million visitors since opening, highlighting the scale of potential impact.
- Tayside and Fife have a huge volume of unique visitor experiences… shout about them!
- Saying your business is " fully accessible" isn't enough. Be clear and specific about how you can accommodate disabled visitors. Knowledge – and detail - is power.
- And finally, Tayside and Fife are beautiful – everybody says so.
