VisitScotland Business Support

Business and experience development

The VisitScotland Quality Assurance scheme will be retired as of 31 March 2025 and with that VisitScotland are creating a new approach to business support which will see us shift to a wider-reaching year-round programme of free-to-access support for all businesses. This update provides you with the latest on the progress we’ve made.

They are steadfast in support for the development of tourism and events businesses across Scotland and have made great strides in building a business support programme which prioritises the key areas where they can make the biggest impact.

They will help provide support to businesses on a digital-first, but not digital-only approach, with one-to-one advice available where it adds most value. They aim to reach more businesses across Scotland through a year-round programme, which includes:

  • digital advice and support on a range of topics, tailored by sector
  • a programme of webinars and workshops
  • networking and peer to peer learning opportunities
  • marketing opportunities
  • climate action planning and advice on other responsible practices

From early 2025, should you need to get in touch, you can contact our new industry enquiry team who will direct you to the most appropriate support for your business – whether that be VisitScotland resources or those of our partner organisations.

They will also be working closely with Welcome to Fife and sectors across Scotland, as well as our public sector partners, supporting and coordinating our efforts to ensure we offer support that will drive business development and economic growth.

Ultimately, their business support programme will use their resources to help more businesses across Scotland to capitalise on the growing demand for our world-class offering and allow us to promote Scotland as a year-round destination.
