Welcome to Fife is the tourism brand for the Kingdom of Fife. This is run by the tourism team working within the Business and Employability department at Fife Council, promoting the area to visitors and enhancing its tourism potential. 

Hilary Roberts
Tourism Partnerships Manager

Hilary heads up the Welcome to Fife team at Fife Council and is responsible for the effective delivery of actions within the Fife Tourism Strategy and the sustainable growth of the tourism sector in Fife. Hilary has many years of experience in working for the public sector in Economic Development, Marketing and Tourism.

Gillian McCracken
Tourism Adviser

Gillian's main role is in the promotion and marketing of Fife as a visitor destination to consumers. Day to day this includes working on our website, social media, advertising and PR. Gillian also supports the golf and cruise sectors in Fife. Gillian has worked in tourism for 9 years and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of PR.

Karen is responsible for promoting Fife as a key visitor destination. This involves working with a range of partners including VisitScotland, developing and implementing campaigns, content development for Welcome to Fife digital and social channels, as well as organising familiarisation trips. She is also involved in the Tay Cities regional partnership working alongside Dundee, Angus and Perth focusing on Travel Trade activity.

With 15 years of experience in Tourism, El brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and is dedicated to fostering responsible tourism practices that honour Fife’s rich heritage and natural beauty. With 2 degrees, and a vast and varied background in operational tourism, El is committed to creating a balance between tourism development and responsible practices.

Alisha works alongside various Council Services and Blue Light partners to help ensure that Events in Fife follow necessary Health and Safety requirements. She also facilitates the ‘Strategic Events Fund’ which provides financial support for Events that encourage the generation and economic benefits. Alisha is also working to develop and implement 'Fife Events Strategy' which will positively influence the effect Events and Tourism have on the Fife Region.
