UCI World Cycling Championships: Fife Business and Community Engagement Session

The world’s greatest cyclists are competing in a series of 13 world cycling championships across Scotland during 3-13 August 2023.

One of the events is the UCI Men’s Elite Road Race held on the 6 August 2023 which starts in Edinburgh and finishes in Glasgow. This cycling race is the only one coming to Fife and will pass through South West Fife in approximately 30 minutes (route details are provided in the webpage link below).

2023 UCI Cycling World Championships Ltd, in partnership with local authorities, are inviting members of the public to attend drop-in sessions to find out more about the impact.

Below are the details of Fife’s Business and Community Engagement Session:

  • Tuesday 11 July, 12:00 – 14:30, Culross Stables Community Hub, 1 Balgownie W, Culross, KY12 8JL

Representatives from The UCI Cycling World Championships and Fife Council will be on hand to answer any queries about the event. Members of the local community will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding areas such as local traffic restrictions, parking and spectating.   

Those who are unable to attend the session in-person can contact the Fife Council Events Team with queries by emailing FifeEvents@fife.gov.uk.

A web-page (www.fife.gov.uk/UCIcyclingchampionships) has also been developed to provide information about the event, including the route, along with frequently asked questions.
