Scotland’s Tay Country Launches New Coach Operator Toolkit Ahead of CTA Winter Networking Event
Scotland’s Tay Country, representing Perthshire, Fife, Angus and Dundee, has launched a new Coach Operator Toolkit designed to support UK and international travel trade partners developing group and coach itineraries across the region.
Created in response to growing demand for clear, easy-to-use resources, the toolkit brings together essential information about Scotland’s Tay Country, highlighting its group-friendly attractions, distinctive regional experiences, and practical guidance for planning seamless coach journeys. It has been developed to help operators save time, strengthen product development, and confidently showcase the region’s landscapes, culture, heritage and hospitality.
As a region, Scotland’s Tay Country is committed to encouraging longer dwell times and more meaningful travel experiences. With an abundance of products in a compact footprint, the destination offers operators the opportunity to build itineraries that minimise travel distances while maximising experience. Often described as a “miniature Scotland,” Tay Country brings together everything visitors love about the country: dramatic scenery, coastal character, rich history, vibrant cities, world-class golf, outdoor adventure, and exceptional food and drink, all within easy reach. This allows groups to see and do more, while also enjoying more time to relax, making it an attractive and efficient destination for coach travel.
The launch comes ahead of the Coach Tourism Association’s Winter Networking Event, taking place in Scotland this weekend and hosted at Crieff Hydro in Perthshire, in the heart of Scotland’s Tay Country. The event concludes on Monday with a Supplier Showcase, where Scotland’s Tay Country will be represented alongside 12 regional businesses and CTA members that welcome group and coach travel.
Jemma Reid, Travel Trade Project Manager for Scotland’s Tay Country, said:
“The appeal of Scotland’s Tay Country for group and coach travel continues to grow, and this new toolkit gives operators an accessible, comprehensive introduction to what the region can offer. With so much variety in such a small footprint, operators can build enriching tours that allow clients to truly experience Scotland, without long travel times. We want to support the trade by providing practical tools that make planning easier and help showcase just how much is possible here.”
