Scotland's National Events Strategy Review and Update
A public consultation has been launched to gather views which will shape Scotland's future national events strategy.
Scotland’s national events strategy, 'Scotland: the perfect stage (2015-2025)', is being reviewed and updated to provide strategic focus for all involved in any aspect of planning, securing, supporting and delivering events of all sizes in Scotland through to the end of 2035.
This will be delivered by the Scottish events sector, Scottish Government and VisitScotland, working together with trade unions and local authorities.
This survey is aimed at
- people who attend or would like to attend events in Scotland, people living in communities where events are held, and groups who represent them;
- organisations and people working in and with the Scottish event industry, across the public, private and third sectors.
Find out more or share your views here. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday 30th June 2023.
To support the online consultation exercise, VisitScotland's Events Directorate is coordinating a series of in-person Regional Event Industry Consultation Workshops across Scotland. The workshops, which will run throughout April, May and June, will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear from those leading the review and update process, and to contribute directly to the consultation exercise.
