Parking/drop off arrangements during the AIG Women’s Open
There will be some changes to parking and drop off provision during the AIG Women’s Open.
Some roads in the vicinity of the Old Course will be closed or restricted to one-way to improve traffic flow around the venue. These restrictions will be enforced by Police Scotland.
In addition, key routes will be subject to no parking and no-waiting restrictions to keep traffic moving. These restrictions will be enforced by Fife Council.
Some of the key temporary restrictions in place from Sunday 18 – Monday 26 August 2024 are:
Golf Place will be closed between The Scores and Bruce Embankment.
Bruce Embankment will be closed between Golf Place and West Sands Road.
West Sands Road will be closed for its entire length.
Golf Place will be restricted to one-way traffic only (northbound) from North Street to The Scores.
The existing one-way traffic restriction on The Scores will be reversed to eastbound from Murray Park to North Castle Street, with temporary no waiting in place.
The existing one-way traffic restriction on North Castle Street will be reversed to southbound from The Scores to North Street, with temporary no waiting in place.
Grannie Clark’s Wynd will be closed between the access to the rear of no.19 Links Crescent and The Links, with access only permitted to service vehicles.
The Links will be closed between Golf Place and Gibson Place, however access for delivery vehicles will be permitted at specified times.
Old Guardbridge Road will be closed for its entire length, however access to the Old Course Hotel will be permitted.
The area encompassing the shared use path between Old Guardbridge Road and Old Station Road will close from 24 June to 25 October inclusive.
Bruce Embankment car park will be closed.
Resident Parking Schemes will be in place on Murray Park and a limited section of The Scores.
Murray Park will be closed, although access will be maintained for residents with a parking permit.
Please also note, access to east and west sections of Petheram Bridge car park will only be permitted to those with event access passes between Sunday 18 to Sunday 25 August. A limited number of passes for this car park for residents and business will be made available.
