2025 Award Winning Fife Tourism Businesses
It has been a couple of busy and exciting weeks, with various awards ceremony having taken place.
THE COURIER FOOD & DRINK AWARDS 2025
The amazing winners were crowned on 26th March, and Fife Businesses were well represented.
Futtle won in the category of Brewer of the Year,
with St Andrews Brewing Company shortlisted.
Chef Dhaneshwar Prasad from Dhoom Streetery and Bar won Chef of the Year,
with Chef Rory MacCrimmon from The Adamson shortlisted.
Baern cafe at Bowhouse won Independent Cafe of the Year,
with The Rhynd Cafe shortlisted.
The Wee Restaurant won Restaurant of the Year.
Georgia Scott, from the Fairmont St Andrews won in the category Rising Star of the Year, Megan Murrie founder and owner of the Nakey Bakey, and Luke Atagan from Craig @ 16 West End were both shortlisted.
Megan Murrie founder and owner of the Nakey Bakey, was also shortlisted in the category Entrepreneur of the Year.
Dhoom Streetery and Bar were shortlisted in the category Community Champion.
The Farmer's Son were shortlisted in the category Producer of the Year.
Don Basilico were shortlisted in the Street Vendor of the Year category.
Wilder Rover Food and Baern cafe at Bowhouse were both shortlisted in the Sustainability Award category.
Anster named Best Scottish Cheese at British & Irish Cheese Awards 2025
Anster, a delicate, pale and crumbly cow’s milk cheese, has been named Best Scottish Cheese at the British & Irish Cheese Awards 2025.
Made by St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese Company in Anstruther, Anster took this coveted prize among hundreds of entries into the 29th edition of these Awards, which were hosted by the Bath & West Food & Drink Festival near Shepton Mallet in Somerset.
National Hotels of the Year Scotland Awards
These awards celebrate excellence in the Scottish hospitality industry, recognising outstanding hotels, teams, and individuals who go above and beyond, and a total of 8 Fife hotels were honoured.
Fairmont St Andrews walked away with three awards, Golf Resort of the Year, Kai Winkler, the general manager won Scottish Hotelier of the Year, and assistant event manager Rhiannon Malley won Rising Star Manager of the Year.
Balbirnie House Hotel was named the winner in the National Weddings of the Year and the Interior Design categories.
Dean Park Hotel won the Contemporary Weddings Award and Shirley Sangster won a Manager Gold Medal.
The Inn at Kingsbarns won the Community Inn of the Year award, and Allan Kay achieved a Chef Excellence Medal.
Other Fife hotels were recognised at the awards: Seaton House (Opening of the Year); The Lomond Hills Hotel (Community Hotel Renewal); The Old Course Hotel and Spa (Luxury Weddings), and Rusacks (St Andrews Hotel of the Year).
