The Fife Five Launch Event

The Fife Five is a new initiative which aims to support local businesses to sell, cook and serve more locally produced food and drink. Devised by Welcome to Fife and Invest Fife, retailers and hospitality businesses are being asked to pledge to using at least five items of local produce and to tell the story of that produce through their menus and marketing. The initiative will make it easier for consumers to connect with local produce, to tell the stories of local producers, and to reduce food miles.

Join us for the launch event on Monday 28 September at Fife Creamery Kirkcaldy.

On the day, we will have:

09.30 am - Registration and Refreshments
10.00 am - Introduction to the Fife Five
10.20 am - The importance of using local produce - Fiona Richmond, Scotland Food & Drink
10.45 am - Sourcing local produce, a business case study - Ed Foster, the Rhynd
11.00 am - Introduction to Fife Creamery and tour
12.00 pm - Networking
