Coach Parking Culross
Culross (pronounced “Coo-riss”) is one of Scotland’s most picturesque and historic villages, nestled on the banks of the Firth of Forth. With its cobbled streets, white-harled houses, and ochre-hued palace, it offers visitors a unique glimpse into 17th-century life. It’s also a must-see location for Outlander fans, having served as a filming location for the hit TV series.

Protecting Culross: Please Avoid Village Streets
Culross is a conservation village with narrow cobbled streets that were never designed for modern traffic, especially large vehicles. Coaches must not attempt to drive through or park in the village centre due to:
- Entering the Village: Please do not enter the village via Gallows Loan onto Kirk Street from the A985
- Restricted Access & Tight Turns: Many streets are too narrow for coaches to navigate safely.
- Pedestrian Safety: The village is popular with walking tours and foot traffic is high.
- Heritage Protection: Cobbled roads and centuries-old buildings can be easily damaged by heavy vehicles.
- Resident Access: Street parking is limited and needed for local residents and emergency vehicles.
We kindly ask all coach drivers to use the dedicated Coach Parking at the East Car Park and avoid the historic village core. Your cooperation helps preserve Culross for future generations.
Coach Parking & Drop-Off
- Drop-Off Point: Coaches can safely drop off passengers at the designated East and West Car Parks, just a short walk from the village centre.
- Coach Parking: Free coach parking is available at the East Car Park (KY12 8JD), with space for multiple vehicles. Coaches of less than 35 Pax may park (subject to availability) in the West Car Park.
- Guests Walking: Drivers are encouraged to park and ask guests to walk into the village (a few minutes walk) to ease congestion in the village.
- Toilets: Public toilets are available nearby, including an accessible toilet at the West Car Park.
