Driver Amenities

Rest facilities for drivers, including clean toilets and refreshments available at the Peacock Rooms at the Glen Pavilion, Pittencrieff Park.

Drivers may redeem a complimentary tea, coffee, cake or sandwich from the Peacock Rooms. To redeem please follow the below procedure.

  • On arrival at the Peacock Rooms please make yourself know to one of the venue supervisors
  • Show any of the following forms of identification
    • Digital tachograph card or Driver CPC card
    • Work instruction ticket.
    • Company Name Badge
  • Offer subject to availability
  • 1 item per driver
  • Failure to provide the correct form of identification may result in offer not being valid

Refreshment facilities also available at Glen Bridge car park. Currently no offers available from businesses.

Whether your passengers are seeking a traditional Scottish meal or international cuisine, there’s something for everyone. For large groups booking ahead of arrival is preferred however there are plenty options around the city centre for visitors to choose from.


Mobility Options for Passengers

Fife Shopmobility proudly supports the Confederation of Passenger Transport’s (CPT) Coach Friendly accreditation, enhancing accessibility for all visitors arriving by coach. This recognition ensures that coach passengers, including those with mobility challenges, can seamlessly explore Dunfermline. Upon arrival, passengers can access the free mobility services, offering manual and powered wheelchairs, as well as electric scooters, facilitating effortless navigation of the city centre shopping areas and heritage area.

By integrating Shopmobility services with the Coach Friendly scheme, Fife ensures a welcoming and accessible experience for all visitors, fostering sustainable and inclusive tourism.

Guests are advised to where possible pre-book the service in advance to ensure availability, if pre booked guests will be welcomed at James Street Bus Stance C.

Should guests wish to access the service on arrival please visit Shopmobility in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre.

  • Head into the shopping centre from James Street
  • Walk straight ahead in the centre and then head to the right
  • Visitors can either use the escalators outside Debenhams store or use the lifts to the ground floor
  • Shopmobility can be found on the ground floor next to the Debenhams store
  • Please note this service has limited range for support service across the city centre
  • Shopmobility is a charity who offer the service for free. Donations welcome
