Tourism St Andrews EGM & Association Meeting

Following the resignation of the current Chair (Jordan Mitchell), the St Andrews Tourism Association invites all members to attend an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). The purpose of the meeting is to elect a new Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.

This is an important opportunity to get involved in shaping the future of the Association and promoting St Andrews as a leading visitor destination. We encourage as many members as possible to attend, participate, and consider standing for an office bearer role.

Who Should Attend:
Any tourism businesses in the St Andrews area (KY16)

Nominations:
If you would like to stand for one of the officer roles (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, or Treasurer), or nominate another member, please submit your nomination by Friday 16th May 2025, by emailing linn.williamson@fife.gov.uk

Officer Role Descriptions:

• Chair
  Provides leadership and strategic direction for the Association, chairs meetings, acts as spokesperson, and ensures activities align with the Association’s aims.

• Vice Chair
  Supports the Chair in their duties, deputises when necessary, and assists in maintaining the momentum of the Association's activities.

• Secretary
  Responsible for organising meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining the Association’s records, and managing correspondence.

• Treasurer
  Manages the Association’s finances, including preparing financial reports, overseeing budgets, ensuring appropriate financial procedures are followed, and advising the Committee on financial matters.

After the EGM a general association meeting will take place, should you wish to add anything to the meeting agenda for discussion please submit to Linn by the 16th May 2025. linn.williamson@fife.gov.uk
