Fife Visitor Levy – Online Information Evening Session

Join Fife Council for an online information session on the proposed Visitor Levy.

Fife Council is exploring the potential introduction of a Visitor Levy under the Visitor Levy (Scotland) Act 2024 and is seeking views from businesses, residents, community groups and other stakeholders.

This free online information session will provide an overview of the visitor levy legislation and the options available to help form what a potential visitor levy policy may look like in Fife. The session give attendees the opportunity arrange a one-to-one meeting with an officer (subject to availability) and better understand how the consultation process works.

What the session will cover

  • What a Visitor Levy is and why it is being considered in Fife
  • The different options under consideration, including percentage-based and potential flat-rate models
  • Who a Visitor Levy could apply to and possible exemptions
  • How funds raised could be reinvested to support visitor infrastructure and communities
  • How to take part in the consultation and have your say

  • Accommodation providers (hotels, B&Bs, self-catering, campsites, etc.)
  • Tourism and hospitality businesses
  • Business across Fife who may have contractors etc staying in the region
  • Community councils and local groups
  • Residents with an interest in tourism and local investment
